Fine Art Photograph: Carriage
The street was quiet except for the clip clop of a horse’s hooves on the pavement. I struggled to get the shot. The light was not good, the carriage was moving, and I wasn’t really ready, all of these seemingly detriments would likely spell disaster, but I had to try. Through the Victoria, B.C. drizzle, I aimed and made the shot hoping for the best. The photograph takes me to a place of an earlier time in history, devoid the craziness of loud horns and headlights, road rage and the rat-race. It’s purely a mode of transportation for the mysterious passenger from point A to B, in style.
