Photography, On The Fence

During a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado, one morning’s search for great shots led me to a fence. I loved the look of the fence rail and the leading lines into the tree line that was a beautiful yellow. The rays from the sun helped show the texture in the rail as it was the focal point of the shot. The picture gives me a feeling of a fresh morning hope for the day.

On the other side of the fence, I found a completely different feeling, all by swinging my lens, and slightly moving my camera’s position.

This picture shows an old car frame left behind to rust, and for me to find years later as an indicator of the long-gone occupants of this land. With an antique feel to the image, and a totally separate feel from the first image, the two pictures were taken from virtually the same location within minutes of each other.

Keep on the lookout for something that may be totally different than what you came for, swing your lens, walk around, be aware of you camera position.
